Cathie Gough

A true country Canberra girl, Cathie started swing dancing in October 2003 once she moved to Melbourne after being inspired by Scott and Sarah Farrelly who competed in Canberra one month earlier.  Cath started swing mainly to meet new people and get her feet tapping again!  However, the swing bug bite well and truly and Cath became addicted... joining Brat Pack in 2004 and then Scat Pack in 2005.
 
She loves to dance to all tempos and styles of music, but seems to like the adrenalin and flight of fast dancing and aerials. She's very approachable and will happily dance with absolutely anyone. "I love that dancing brings people of all different backgrounds, professions, ages and walks of life into the one room, and when you're in the middle of the class, it's very exciting to see dancers having a blast.”

 

Outside of swing she works full time marketing a shopping centre (which doesn't help her shopping habits), loves travelling interstate seeing family and friends and tries her hand at cooking... oh and loves a good red or G & T with friends.

- Co-teaching Swing Patrol’s performance development troupe Bratpack with Kieran Yee
- Winning the Australian Hellzapoppin Championships (2007) with Kieran
- 1st place Fast Foot - AJC 2007 with Kieran
- 2nd Place Strictly Lindy - AJC 2007 with Josh
- 1st Place Jack n Jill Lismore Dance Camp - 2007
- Being a part of Ginger
- Making many friends
