Alice Roberts

Alice’s addiction to everything swing kicked off in early 2006, after attending a swing ball in Canberra for a friend’s birthday.

Soon after that pivotal evening Alice moved to Sydney for uni; still reeling from the live music and Charleston basic. Alone in the big city but desperate to dance Alice found her way, with the help of Google and a street directory, to Paddo Swing Patrol and didn’t miss a single lesson for nearly 6 months.

Since then she has become a regular in the Sydney scene; helping on the door, volunteering for the Sydney Swing Festival and going to as many events as her time and funds permit. Though she’s partial to performing and competing, her favourite thing about swing is the social dancing and socializing. Alice is thrilled to be joining the Sydney Swing Patrol team so she can share the swing, and the love!

When not swing dancing Alice can be found studying design, working at after school care, and/or being a supreme nerd.
