Rachel Markos

Rachel has taught salsa, jazz and line dancing for 12 years in Launceston and Brisbane.  Since returning to Launceston to live in 2006, she has actively helped to expand the local dance community through colleges, private lessons and regular social dance nights.  Rachel currently co-ordinates a salsa demonstration group of 10 people who have performed at events including Festivale, International Women's Day, Harmony Day and the Launceston Show. 

As of September 2007, Rachel made a decision to leave full time employment in the field of law and to do more of what she loves.  This includes a whole range of things from working with fashion to saving whales.  Rachel is very enthusiastic about learning and teaching swing dancing, together with her good friends and swing dance enthusiasts, Graham and Courtney.  These Launceston teachers are very excited and honoured to be a part of the fun and successful team of Swing Patrol.  Let the games begin, in true swingin’ style!
